Do people really never face any hidden costs or surprises with surgeries in countries with single-payer healthcare like the NHS?

I’ve heard many people in the UK mentioning the parking fees. But by now everybody should know about them so they’re not exactly hidden.
As for Sweden the cost is very straightforward. It’s a bit different from county to county, but in Stockholm you pay 275 SEK (about $29) for a visit to a GP or specialist. 375 or 400 SEK ($39–42) for emergency care. The cost is capped at 1450 SEK ($151) per 12 month period.
